I keep having trouble making a good sounding patch for my bass note in future bass or melodic dubstep chords. I usually would take the bottom note of the chords, drop it down an octave and make a bassier patch for it. But I can't seem to get it to sound right. Maybe I'm applying too much processing and it's as simple as a saw wave? What do you guys do?
