I absolutely love Porter Robinson and Madeon! Their success and tour have just been an electronic dream come true! But am I the only one afraid that they will burst their bubble and sell out? They are the most well known sounds of electronic culture and are seriously at the cusp of pushing full mainstream. A lot of people will say I'm hating on their success, but anyone who has been a part of the scene for more than 3 years knows what happens when things get too commercial. It just seems like when things hit the public, the intricacy in the music diminishes. Chainsmokers went from Goodness Gracious Remix, to the mindless don't let me down. Zedd went from writing the moving song spectrum, to addicted to a memory. Even Flume, in attempt to evolve his sound, has really given up the effort that made him stand out in the first place. Or at least it seems it. How do people feel about this? Agree, disagree?
