I have a set of portable stereo speakers I take with me on work trips. I got curious and turned them vertical to hear what would happen to the audio. It sounded like I just changed the speakers to 'mono mode' or something. I flipped them back to their normal position and BOOM it sounded like the gates of heaven had opened back up.
I'm sure there is a clear scientific reasoning behind why it was perceived in that way, but I'm glad I did it even without knowing. Getting curious and experimenting with what we do is so important to discovering new things!
