Good day to you all.
I've decided something enormously daunting, intimidating, & quite frankly, terrifying.
I want to learn to play the violin. I cannot comprehend the difficulty level, or the time required to put into it, but I do know it's the violin I want to learn.
But I need help, loads & loads of help. I'm so musically unlearned that I'm terrified you're going to shoo me away. And yes, I understand that I'm eternally under-qualified to begin learning this, but I really want a shot at it.
Where do I begin? I know nothing about music. Literally nothing, except that I love listening to it.
I have no concept of notes, cords, tunes, etc. I've never taken a musical class in my life (nor could I afford to at this juncture), but don't take that as a token of lack of desire, or motivation.
I'm a sponge seeking to soak up any advice, direction, tutelage, etc. you may impart.
Thanks well in advance! Please go easy on me.
