I am curious if there is any general decent way to EQ my breakbeats. I have my amen, funky drummer, etc. chopped up and ready to go, but it always sounds like I could improve the sound of it. Should I be EQing all the chops from the same breaks the same way for consistency, or should I be EQing each chop differently? Should I be doing a lot of subtractive or additive EQing or a mix of both?
Any other info on making my sampled breaks sound better would also be appreciated.
