Hey fellow producers,
I am curious what type of plugins do you guys use for your drum group to get it punchy and loud. I've been watching a few tutorials on youtube and many producers use different plugins that I guess all do the same thing.
For example Kill Paris drum group chain (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vK7A0HxGvpc):
-
UAD Cambridge EQ (he never opens it but im pretty sure thats what it is)
-
UAD Precision Limiter
-
Ozone 5 with only maximizer and exciter activated
Also, I hear camelphat or fabfilter saturn are really popular. Right now I only use fabfilter pro q2 and ableton's glue compressor (for parallel compressing). Anyways I'm always looking to improve my drum sounds and was wondering what your drum effect chain looks like.
Thanks!
