Any tips on DJ Mustards signature Moog bass? A track I'm making (deep house) is needing this sound but I can't get anywhere close to it. Rather than me give you examples, open up his profile on spotify and listen to 4-5 songs and you'll understand what I mean. His style sort of comes from deep house so it would fit perfect in with what I'm making.
DJ Mustard isn't a sound designer (from what I've read) so it shouldn't be too hard to recreate even though I haven't seen a good enough tutorial yet. Or if you can tell me what he uses I would be greatful. I have Komplete (Massive, FM8), ANA, Serum, Spire, Omnisphere etc (all the mainstream plugins). Every time I try make a sound it just sounds boring and small, while if you listen to his (Paranoid etc) they sound fucking huge but don't clash with his 808s.
From what I can tell, he leaves a lot of headroom and a mastering engineer will "beef it up" but I want to do it myself.
