Hi everyone! I'm having a very hard time deciding whether to get a new windows laptop or a macbook pro. My issue is that I currently have a Toshiba Satellite which I use to produce on FL Studio and I perform live sets using either my Lauchpad or MIDI keyboard through Ableton Live. The Toshiba is great but I've come to the point where my production quality has exceeded computer capability. Any sort of intricacy involving automation I add usually maxes out my CPU given the fact that I'll use around 40 playlist tracks and then the whole things freezes and jumps around horrendously. Ableton will occasionally crash when I do a fair amount of work with the launchpad's USER 1 mode. I've gotten mixed feedback on the PC vs. Mac argument and I really just want whatever will not limit my production or performing. I would obviously run FL through bootcamp on the MAC and I've heard Ableton even runs better on them. Has anyone used a mac for FL? Is there a difference in the size of the project you can make or how much the CPU can handle?
