So lately I've struggled with my musical direction, previously I made a lot of big room while experimenting with other genres, I also DJ in clubs playing hip hop which I really enjoy but never really thought it would be possible to combine my love of ''EDM'' and hip hop. I then got to a point about 2 months ago where I just wasn't enjoying what I was making, spending less and less time producing it all just felt forced which is not fun at all. After a lot of thinking and talking to my gf and friends about it, I realised I can either continue to try and force myself or I can make a change.
So to cut a long story short, last week I started a new track at 101bpm.. waaay out of my comfort zone and honestly I've loved every minute I've spent on that track! Never force yourself to make music that you don't feel passionate about, I know this isn't really related to production but I know some people out there feel the same! Whether it's similar to my situation or lack of inspiration etc never give up!
