I noticed that in Ableton, all the samples in the Drum Rack are by default set at -12 db. Should I be starting all my tracks at around there for headroom? I vaguely remember reading somewhere that its good to create tracks with everything at 0 but this seems like bad advice. I also remember hearing you should mix everything at -4 db? What's the deal with this stuff?
