Hello! I'm new to this forum, so please inform me if I broke any rules of posting here. I have tough decision to make. I want a condenser microphone for home vocal recording use. It would be used in my room, which is not very large and currently features no sound isolation (that may change in the future). My maximum budget right now is about 200 euros. I have researched a lot and stripped down to these choices:
So, I don't really feel the need of FEATURES that come with having a soundcard (monitoring, EQ, etc.). I'd feel completely fine having to adjust my recording in post-production. Also, I do not plan on upgrading to a new mic in the near future.
The bottom line is that I can actually buy any of the above mentioned combinations and I would probably choose XLR due to having 24-bit audio recording is a must since I look at my production a tad more seriously. BUT, due to the AT2020 USBi being 24-bit and USB, it is now a hard decision. Should I spend the extra 30-40EU for the XLR combination? Or will the self-claiming AT2020 24-bit USBi version be completely fine?
The main thing that tickles my fancy is the end result. The end sound quality. Not features. Thank you in advance for your time and help! <3
