I've always been attracted towards both instruments. I always loved the sound of the guitar and the foundation that the bass brings. After Davie504, I loved the bass even more! The thing was, I wasn't able to afford either instruments. This was 2-3 years ago. During the time in between then and now, I went off a different path and chose different hobbies that were more accessible at the time. Since I now have a part-time job and more free time till September I want to learn both! I don't particularly want to be amazing at both but just to be able to play songs I enjoy. (Though I am leaning towards the bass.)
Is this a bad idea for me? Should I start with one first and eventually learn the next? I've been in Concert band for 4 years and I am comfortable with music theory so that isn't really an issue. It's more about the actual instruments.
