I'm aware that I can't expect to make songs for a living while only recognized by 10 people, no matter how commercial-quality they are. I want to take measures to do something about this. How do EDM artists become known by thousands or even millions? Is there some arcane secret knowledge I require, or is it sheer luck?
Because I've seen a lot of EDM artists who made millions for their contributions to the music industry thanks to a massive fanbase. To be honest, I assume they just got lucky. Heck, it seems sheer luck is a bigger factor than intensive hard work.
I've also learned something about growth hacking, but I've yet to fully grasp its concept.
