So I HAVE a midi turntable controller but I can't find the license key for the software anywhere (it's a couple years old and I think I lost key and cd) and I don't have cdjs and I'm living paycheck to paycheck and don't have the means currently to buy a new one. So my question is, what are some ways of performing live when all I have is a laptop with ableton and a cheap ass midi keyboard with one midi slider and I might be able to map a couple knobs and sliders to some things in ableton. At this stage I could care less if it's a push n play set with just using faders and knobs because I've been wanting to do this for so long and I'm so sick and tired of not having money to buy controllers to let it keep me from playing live and I don't give a shit if people make fun of me for it at first I want to do this. I will also mention that I do have friends with cdjs that will let me practice but I don't have that down good enough yet.
