I was listening to Ghost Hardware last night and I realized how detailed the song really is if you listen in. At first glance, the beat seems to be a similar garage beat with some dark, brooding pads in the background... yet when you listen in, you hear white noise crackling, background shots of whooozing bass, and airy vocals reverberating throughout. I guess what I am trying to say is: how does he create and process/master those atmospheric pads through sampling sounds without using synthesizers. Really makes me appreciate how unique this guy was for his time.
