Hopefully you gents can help a fellow out. So I'm really into music. I listen to a plethora of genres from electronic types to heavy metal and now I want to get into making my own music.
I realize that what I'm about to say I want to do is unrealistic for a beginner. Eventually I want to be able to make tracks like these(especially the last three)

I was thinking about buying a keyboard. One that is capable of making sounds similar to these to some capacity. Also is it possible to make a remix of a track on a keyboard or do you need something like Ableton among other DAW's an plug-ins?
Now does anyone have any good recommendations for hardware and making my own sounds rather than sampling everything? Hell I don't even know how to sample yet.
I also heard about something called the Bass Station II which seems to have some nice sounds but I don't know if I could record audio and put it on a computer.
Heck to be honest the only reason I haven't made anything in a free DAW is because they all confuse the shit out of me.
Last question I think. How do people get their setups to work in tandem with each other? Like having some type of DAW or something with the ability to use a keyboard connected and use synths from the keys rather than clicking on them with a mouse?
Hopefully I didn't confuse anyone with these questions.
