I'm currently working a lot on my mixing skills. I'm having problems With the sub bass in my track. When I compare my track with other tracks published on Youtube, Soundcloud etc. my sub doesn't have the same widness and warmth. To find out why, I have downloaded several remix packs from Wavo and other sites. I took the bass/sub stem from the packs and analyzed them. What I've also done is that I listened to all the original songs, which we can remix, on Youtube. And after comparing the sub bass stem from the remix pack with sub bass in the original song published on Youtube, I noticed that the sub is much more warm and kinda wide in the original song. (All the sub bass stems from the packs are in mono btw). So, does this mean that the sub warmth and wideness I'm looking for is normally achieved through the mastering process?
(I'm not at the stage where I can master my own tracks. And, this question may be longer than it has to be, sry.)
